Senior Student Leaders

Here at Tobermory High School our senior leaders are the key leaders for the student body across the 2-18 learning community.

They are positive role models within the school and help to arrange House events and school activities.

Verity Lawrence

School Captain

My name is Verity, I'm in S6 and I am one of the 2 School Captains! I enjoy physics and music, along with drawing and problem solving. My role is to make sure your voice as a pupil is heard and to plan events within the school, so if you need anyone to talk to, feel free to come speak to me!

Sara Fenwick

School Captain

My name is Sara Fenwick and I am a School Captain. My role is to support both students and teachers within the school, whether that is workload or being someone that students can talk to. I enjoy playing musical instruments like my piano and guitar, and I also enjoy sports.

Catriona Cameron

Iona House Captain

Hello, my name is Catriona, and I’m one of the House Captains for Iona. I’m very into sports and for this year hoping to bring in some new sports and more inter house events and staff vs senior events as that was very popular last year. My role as house captain means that we organise and arrange sport events that will take place either at lunchtime or through a PE lesson.

Sorley Carmichael

Ulva House Captain

My name is Sorley Carmichael, I’m in S5 and I am one of the House Captains for Ulva. Some of the jobs that I have in my role are, planning house/school events, speaking at assembly’s and encouraging team spirit!

Ellie MacCallum

Staff House Captain

Hey my name is Ellie, I am in S5 and I am one of Staffa’s House Captains. My hobbies are rugby and sports. I am interested in getting everyone together and I want to introduce various inter-house competitions to allow everyone in each year group feel comfortable interacting with each other.

Cameron Robb

Iona House Captain

Hi, I’m Cameron and I’m one of the House Captains for Iona. I’m a pretty sporty person so my goal for this year is to get more people involved in sporting events for Iona and bring in more inter-house competitions for all year groups. My role as house captain is scheduling house events, while also getting Iona the win we deserve.

Kate MacKay

Ulva House Captain

My name is Kate, I’m S5 and I’m one of the House Captains for Ulva. I enjoy rugby and walking. I would like to introduce more sport events in the school.

Ayla Purfit

Staffa House Captain

Hi, I am Ayla and I’m one of the Staffa House Captains. I’m interested in artsy stuff and want to bring more arts and crafts opportunities to the school.
