Pupil Leadership

Senior Student Leaders

Here at Tobermory High School our senior leaders are the key leaders for the student body across the 2-18 learning community.

They represent the school at all formal occasions, such as the local Mod, Community events, Remembrance Day and Celebration of Achievement, encouraging all students to support and participate in each and every one as required. Throughout the year they lead and organise/coordinate a number of events, a few of which being: Charity; Non Uniform Days; Inter-House competitions and Sports Day. Our Senior Leaders aim to be approachable to their fellow students and seek to communicate freely with them so as to gain their respect and obtain feedback on school processes. They strive for whole school improvement and are involved in the creation of the whole School Improvement Plan, working together with staff and pupils alike to make our school a friendly and welcoming place for all.

School Prefects

Our School Prefects support our Senior Leaders in all areas. They are involved in peer work with Lower Secondary and Primary / Early Learning Centre students as and when initiated. In addition, School Prefects represent the school at any formal occasions requested by the Head Teacher; encourage students to support school events and lead and organise / coordinate them as required (e.g. charity and sports events); assist in hosting events for parents at the school; and communicate freely with students to obtain feedback on school processes.
