Parent Council 200 Club
With the shadow of Covid affecting fundraising events over the last couple of years, it is no surprise that Tobermory High School Parent Council have been unable to run any of our customary events. Of course, many of the pupil activities that funds would support have also been curtailed, so the effects of the reduced income have not been too problematic.
However as we return to more “normal” times we are keen to do more to both raise funds, and for more opportunities for pupils to benefit from them.
In addition to any specific projects identified to support the school we also have ongoing costs for the minibus (including tax, insurance and maintenance) which need to be funded each year. So we can’t afford to relax too much when it comes to fundraising.
Keep your eyes peeled for news of future events but in the meantime.....
The committee are relaunching our 200 Club, similar to those organised by many clubs and societies. Tickets, priced £15 per year, can be sold to anyone over 16, and there will be a prize draw held each term.

Tobermory High School Parent Council (PC) is a group of parents who work together to; give a voice of the parents to the school and the education authority, work on behalf of the school to assist with any issues that arise within the school, fundraise to help the school, and generally help out wherever we can.
Tobermory High School Parent Council (PC) is a group of parents who work together to; give a voice of the parents to the school and the education authority, work on behalf of the school to assist with any issues that arise within the school, fundraise to help the school, and generally help out wherever we can.
The Parent Council is a fully constituted organisation, which means that it can apply for funding outside the usual areas that the school operates in, and is also covered to run events, and assist with school activities. Currently the PC has around 20 members covering all pupil age groups from ELC through to senior school students.

Previously, the Parent Council has been successful in raising money to secure the purchase and upkeep of a new school minibus.
